Don’t judge me by the color of my skin
Take a look inside, see what’s within.
Don’t judge me by my name
Or the place from which I came.
Don’t judge me for my sexual choice
Instead, just listen to my voice.
Don’t judge me by my sense of style
First, let’s sit and talk awhile.
Look at me; there’s more to see.
Just take time to learn about me.
For all of us, it’s good exercise
Take the time; open ears and eyes.
We will learn what’s really true
You about me; me about you.
